UNCTAD/TrainForTrade Port Training Programme Coaching Workshop, 2-6 Feb 2015
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Following the accession of Nigeria to UNCTAD’s Port Training Programme in 2014, a Coaching Workshop will be held from 2-6 February 2015 in Abuja, Nigeria. This is the first event organized by UNCTAD and with the support of Irish Aid, after an implementation mission was carried out last July to Lagos, Nigeria, by representatives from the UNCTAD TrainForTrade Team, Dublin Port Company, Belfast Harbour Commissioners, and the Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria. This mission served as a needs assessment and prepared the ground for the implementation of Nigeria’s first Port Training Programme cycle.
The objective of the Coaching Workshop is to train senior managers from the port community on the TrainForTrade methodology of course delivery and assessment. 20 Nigerian instructors and focal points have enrolled to be coached for their role as future instructors for the UNCTAD Port Training Programme. Each participant will be invited to present a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation on a section of one of the eight modules of UNCTAD’s Modern Port Management course.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1120″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” image_hovers=”false” css=”.vc_custom_1562671943922{margin-top: 50px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Contacts:
