From 17 to 21 March 2014, the 25 middle managers from the port communities of Tema and Takoradi (Ghana) who are enrolled in the UNCTAD TRAINFORTRADE Port Training Programme will participate in the second of eight training modules. The entirety of the module will be delivered by senior managers from the port communities of Tema and Takoradi. These managers, one of whom is a recent graduate of the programme, have been trained as instructors by TrainForTrade. Module 2 examines the port as a system, in particular the actions that a country could take in connection with port facilities to ensure that national ports (big or small; local, regional or national) develop and are efficient. *TrainForTrade is a programme of the Knowledge Development Branch, in the Division on Technology and Logistics.
