Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has recently completed the 8th and final module of the Modern Port Management course, which took place in Port of Tema from 28 September – 2 October, 2015. The module which tackles Technical Management and Human Resources Development was delivered by a port expert from the Port of Cork Company (PoCC), with the support of UNCTAD-trained local port experts. Completion of this module enables the participants to prepare for their final dissertations with UNCTAD and international port experts towards the end of the year. Successful completion of the modules and defending their thesis will give the new batch of GPHA middle managers the opportunity to earn the UNCTAD Certificate in Modern Port Management. The Port Training Programme is currently running on Cycle 3 in Ghana and so far has trained 81 middle managers since 2009.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1778″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” image_hovers=”false” css=”.vc_custom_1562559313020{margin-top: 50px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
