Delivery of Module 5 Nigeria 2-6 May 2016

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]From 2-6 May, 20 middle managers from the port communities of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) who are enrolled in the UNCTAD TrainForTrade Port Management Programme will participate in the 5th of eight training modules.

The module will be delivered by port experts from Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) and Fundación Valenciaport (Valenciaport Foundation), together with NPA senior managers who have been certified by TrainForTrade as local trainers. This strategy promotes South-South cooperation, as well as networking and exchange of best practices among member ports of the programme.

Module 5 of the Modern Port Management Course examines the methods and tools of management, which enables a port to allocate resources, measure performance, and have a specified timeline for delivery. Nigeria is now halfway in the 1st cycle of the Port Management Programme, after joining the English-speaking network in the first quarter of 2015.
