UNCTAD/ECOWAS workshop on e-Commerce for Practitioners

Banjul, The Gambia (9-11 March 2015)

 

The TrainForTrade programme will run a face-to-face workshop on “e-Commerce for Practitioners” in Banjul, The Gambia, from 9-11 March 2015. This workshop follows the distance learning course ran from 12 January to 13 February 2015. 23 experts from Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, involved in E-commerce, who successfully completed the distance learning course have been invited to attend the workshop. The training course will provide participants the opportunity to develop further on the themes covered in the distance learning course and discuss new topics on “logistic and delivery”, “digital marketing” and “preparing for future”.

This activity is part of the capacity building activities organized for the period 2013-2015 by UNCTAD to assist ECOWAS member countries, at national level, on the implementation and updating of the legal frameworks on e-transactions, cybercrime and person data protection, through capacity building workshops. UNCTAD has also extended its support to include key issues for e-Commerce practitioners such as eGovernance, ICT solutions for eCommerce, payment methods, logistics and eMarketing.
