More than 4500 participants in TrainForTrade events in 2024

In total, 4536 participants from 185 countries or areas attended 63 TrainForTrade training events last year. About half of them (2272) participated in the Port Management Programme training.

The biggest participant groups came from Cameroon, the Philippines, and Argentina. 41% of all participants were women.

The most popular training in 2024 was the special course on Building Port Resilience Against Pandemics with 1324 participants from 112 countries. This online course was organized in English, French, and Spanish.

Two other online courses also had more than 1,000 participants: Statistics of International Trade in Services (SITS), with 1194 participants from 154 countries, and International Merchandise Trade Statistics (IMTS), with 1070 participants from 153 countries. Both courses were organized in English and French.

The biggest face-to-face event was the International Conference on Challenges in Maritime Transport, Port Governance, and Innovation. 124 port professionals attended this Spanish-speaking conference in Argentina.
