E-LEARNING COURSE ON LEGAL ASPECTS OF E-COMMERCE
for Member States and Delegates from permanent missions to the United Nations Office at Geneva and the World Trade Organization of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in Africa, the Caribbean and Asia and the Pacific.

UNCTAD is organising the delivery of the TrainForTrade e-learning course on “Legal Aspects of E-Commerce” from 30 October – 8 December 2023, with follow-up webinars on 6 December 2023.
The global objective of the course is to enhance the capacities of lawmakers, government officials and other stakeholders in all aspects to be considered for the drafting of electronic commerce laws.
After the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain a wide range of regulatory issues that concern e-commerce;
- Describe the new developments and scope of e-commerce issues;
- Exchange experiences and knowledge on the harmonization aspects of
e-commerce.
This project will contribute to strengthening the capacities of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in Africa, the Caribbean and Asia and the Pacific to adopt trade policies that foster digital economy development and enhance crisis responsiveness. The project will enhance SIDS’ capacities on key aspects of the digital economy through the development of skills and knowledge via innovative approaches based on a recognized blended learning method and state-of-the-art technological solutions.
Registration is open to all relevant stakeholders from SIDS and delegates from Permanent Missions in Geneva. We particularly encourage women to participate.
