Behind the Scenes: Developing the UNCTAD Trade in Services Statistics Course in French Language
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The TrainForTrade team in conjunction with UNCTAD Stat, the World Trade Organisation (WTO)and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNStat) are developing a training course on Statistics of International Trade in Services. This course is aimed at raising awareness of Trade in Services’ Statistics and its concepts, enhancing the ability of statisticians to do their work and to help them better understand the manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services (MSITS 2010).
The course “Statistiques du Commerce International des Services” will be delivered online and during the past week, filming of the relevant parts of the e-learning modules was conducted at the UNCTAD offices in the United Nations Office in Geneva campus. Expected to be distributed over a learning period of 6 weeks, the course will among other things cover topics such as the importance of Trade in Services Statistics,
Data Sources, Data Collection and Compilation using BOP STIS and FATS, and Data Dissemination and Analysis.
