More than 4900 participants in TrainForTrade training events in 2025

A total of 4913 participants from 191 countries or areas attended TrainForTrade training events in 2025. This represents an 8% increase compared to 2024. The largest groups of participants were from the Philippines, Cameroon, and Uruguay. 42% of all participants were women.
The most popular trainings last year were two online courses on statistics: International Merchandise Trade Statistics (IMTS), with 1936 participants from 166 countries, and Statistics of International Trade in Services (SITS), with 1689 participants from 171 countries. Both courses were organized in English and French.
TrainForTrade was also present at the UNCTAD16 conference in Geneva. The event on future-ready ports on 22 October 2025 shared best practices and addressed challenges related to the energy transition and digital transformation in the port industry. Speakers included senior port professionals from Bolivia, Spain, Senegal, and Saudi Arabia, while contributions to the discussion came from Singapore, Serbia, Greece, and the International Association of Ports and Harbors.
