Douala, Cameroon: Port Management Program – Defense of the Dissertations of Cycle 15 & Launch of Cycle 16

As part of the activities of the French-speaking network of the TrainForTrade Port Management Program, the trainees of the 15th cycle, 34 trainees (including 16 women 26%), from the port community of Douala followed all eight modules of the course on Modern Port Management for several months (240 hours) from September 2023 to August 2024. With the supervision of local port experts trained by UNCTAD, the trainees also wrote a dissertation consisting of a case study concerning a real problem and providing concrete recommendations to improve the performance of the Lomé port community.
The week of October 7 to 10, participants will present their dissertation before an international jury to obtain their certificate. On October 10, a new promotion will be launched with 25 participants from the port community of Douala, Cameroon.
