UNCTAD Port Management Series – Volume 12
Case studies of the French-speaking network over the period 2021-2024
The UN Trade and Development series on port management is published periodically in English, French and Spanish.
Its 12th volume presents the member ports of the TrainForTrade Port Management Programme’s Francophone network and the most remarkable reform plans developed within the network in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea, Haiti and Togo.
Members of the French-speaking ports network
The network is the great strength of the TrainForTrade port management programme. Its members each have unique know-how and skills, rooted in geographical, economic and socio-cultural realities. In this ‘big family’, as the participants like to call it, everyone has something to contribute and experiences to share.
With almost 280 million tonnes of cargo and more than 8 million TEUs, the ports in the French-speaking network represent a considerable share of world maritime trade. The group is going from strength to strength, and is constantly attracting new members.
